Dear Colleagues, 

I am thrilled to welcome you all to a new year of excellence in research at Emory University! Despite the challenges of the past few years, our researchers, faculty, and staff have continued to persevere in their respective fields-- reaffirming Emory’s role as a leader in science, public knowledge and community engagement.

This digital publication is the first installment of monthly newsletters that will celebrate the impactful research conducted by the Emory Community. Each month, we will highlight the work of the people driving our mission to grow and protect research across a variety of themes. Our first feature of the year highlights the transformative work in Artificial Intelligence led by faculty in Emory’s Department of Radiology and Imaging Sciences. As the year progresses, we invite all of our research teams to share their triumphs on campus and beyond to be included in upcoming releases. We want to celebrate you!  

I cannot stress enough that the renowned eminence of Emory University is due to the innovation of our talented people. As Senior Vice President for Research, my goal is to leverage our resources to provide unprecedented support and fortify the work that is critical to the advancement, survival Ans quality of life of our global community.
