Research Strategic Plan

Developing A Strategic Plan For Research

  • Emory has experienced rapid by asymmetric growth of the research enterprise over the past ten years
  • A strategic plan can help to create coherence and guide strategic investments in the research enterprise to maximize transformative impact
  • The plan will offer flexible strategies that can be adapted to many contexts across the enterprise
  • It must be co-created with, and representative of, all disciplines, academic units, and offices that support the research enterprise
  • We will be soliciting input from faculty, staff, and students through surveys, focus groups, and in-person design charettes
  • Defining topical or disciplinary priorities of focus areas remains a responsibility of the academic units
