- Assisting Emory faculty with launching startup companies to license and develop their inventions based on their scholarship and research
Background
As a companion program to the Women in Innovation Network (WIN), the Female Founders Forum at Emory (F3@E) was started in 2023 by the SVPR Office to support the entrepreneurial development of female faculty at Emory who are launching a startup company to license and develop their invention.A cohort of 5-7 female faculty members are chosen every other year to participate in the year-long program which consists of
- monthly meetings and learning opportunities designed to help particpants understand more about the process for bringing their research and ideas to market
- one-on-one mentoring from successful local entrepreneurs
- assistance in developing and refining their technology development plan or business plan as appropriate
- networking with other women faculty members to share resources and stories
Mission/Vision
